Splashes of sea water at high tide, over the breakwater on a chilly afternoon. Taken on the coastline of the medieval town of St. Malo in Brittany, France.

Chateaubriand, born in St. Malo on September 4, 1768, used to climb on top of the breakwater in his younger years and wait for the high tide to come in. I've always found the breakwater here soothing and captivating.
